One of the most unique places to stay in the Midwest is a cabin in the woods at Starved Rock. Imagine falling asleep in a cabin where gentle breezes flow into the room. Yes, the windows are open and crickets lull you to sleep. In the morning, the birds are chirping and you feel as if you’re worlds away from home! We have a variety of of quaint, cozy cabins surrounded by tall pine and oak trees, just a few steps away from Starved Rock Lodge. The Sunset Cabins are located near the indoor pool area. Stand-alone Pioneer Cabins are located east of the Lodge and were originally built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Both types of cabins feature knotty pine paneling and an ambiance of yesteryear. They are nestled among the trees of Starved Rock State Park, yet they offer all the comforts of a hotel room.
Cozy up to a Sunset Cabin for your next stay. These beautiful, log cabins are located off the indoor pool area and situated among the pines with access to trails just outside your door. There are four individual guest rooms per cabin. Of the four, two have a king size bed with a wood-burning fireplace and the remaining two have a double bed (without a fireplace). All cabin rooms enjoy the same amenities as lodge rooms. We have a total of 8 sunset cabin rooms (4 with fireplaces). Each room is sold separately. Saturday nights require a two night stay minimum.Book Now!Choose between a Sunset Cabin Room with King Bed and fireplace or a Sunset Cabin Room with a Double Bed and no fireplace.
