Starved Rock Lodge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places! The Lodge is truly a unique destination with an ambiance that reminds you of something you’d find in a National Park, but it’s conveniently located in north central Illinois. Surrounded by towering pines and century-old oak trees, the Lodge features 41 cozy rooms in the Lodge Wing (with original knotty pine paneling) and 28 rooms in the Hotel Wing. There are 21 cabin rooms located on the property, some with wood-burning or gas fireplaces. Lodge rooms and cabins are open year ’round and both are heated and air conditioned with all of the amenities of a modern hotel. The indoor pool complex offers a 26′ x 54′ pool, a soothing hot tub, a shallow children’s pool and two saunas. The pool complex is ideal for guests of all ages because older children love to swim in the big pool while the adults relax in the hot tub or sauna. Grandparents can watch the little ones in the gated, children’s pool or just spend some time reading a good book. The pool complex is for Lodge guests only. Please note: Saturday night bookings require a two-night stay.
