Texaco Country Showdown

We’re counting down to the 2013 Texaco Country Showdown! Round #1 is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18th. SO, if you have a great voice or know someone who does, let’s get signed up to be a part of this year’s showdown. The winner takes home a $1,000 cash prize AND gets to advance to the next level of competition — with a chance to make it all the way to Nashville for the National Finals. Rock Star 2013

After 5 weeks of competition, Kayla Magnifici, of Peru, won Rock Star 2013 and a $1,000 prize. The contest concluded last night in the Main Dining Room of Starved Rock Lodge. Second place went to Harmony Donaldson (Lostant). Third place went to Sarah Breyne (Wenona) and in fourth place was Leslie Crum (Ottawa). Greg Valos of Chicago was awarded the Fan Favorite trophy. The vocal competition was sponsored by Starved Rock Lodge, WAJK, WOLF, Euclid Beverage and MillerCoors. Congratulations to Kayla and thanks to everyone who entered Rock Star 2013!
