HISTORIC TROLLEY TOURS

Offered:   March – December (Sundays)
Price: $12.00 per adult/$10.00 senior/$8.00 children under 10
There are two tours: 12:00 pm-1:30 pm & 1:30 pm-3:00 pm. (Due to the Burgoo Festival in Utica, there will be NO Historic Trolley Tours on Sunday, October 13, 2013).

Board a trolley outside of the Great Hall area of the Lodge. Enjoy a historic trolley ride with stops at the Starved Rock State Park Visitor Center where you will see a short video of the area. You will also travel to the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center where you will see Starved Rock from across the river and watch as the river traffic lock through the locks. You will also travel through the village of Utica and hear about the Illinois and Michigan Canal. While aboard, the driver will narrate the history and legends of the area. This tour is offered EVERY Sunday from March through December (except on Oct. 13, 2013).

WATERFALL & CANYON TOURS

Offered:  April & May (Monday & Saturday)
Ticket Price: $32 for adults, $27 children (10 and under).

Experience the fun of outdoor adventure at Starved Rock State Park with a guided walk to 3 spectacular waterfalls and canyons. We will hike to French and St. Louis Canyons as well as Ottawa Canyon. The tour will also include your selection from our SPECIAL LUNCH MENU and a relaxing, historic trolley ride. This is a walking tour and is not recommended for individual with limited mobility.

WINE AND SHOPPING TOURS

Offered:  March & April (Every Friday)
Time: 1pm
Ticket Price:  $17 per person

Board a Starved Rock Trolley and travel to the wine tasting rooms at Cattails, August Hill and Illinois River Winery.  Receive a glass to sample wine of your choosing.  The Trolley will also stop throughout historic downtown Utica.  There is some walking and standing on this tour.

CANAL BOAT & TROLLEY TOUR

Offered: May – October (Every Friday)
Ticket Price: $39.00 Adults / $34.00 Children (10 and under)

Start off with a delicious hot lunch in the rustic dining room at Starved Rock Lodge. Next, board one of our trolleys and travel to LaSalle, IL, where you’ll embark on a relaxing ride on the historic Canal Boat. Step back in time to 1848, with period-dressed interpreters on this 1-hour mule-pulled canal boat ride. After the boat ride the trolley will transport you to our State Park’s Visitor Center. There is minimum walking on this tour and restrooms are available along the way.

Tickets Price: $40.00 Adults / $35 Children (10 and under)

Tour includes a historic trolley ride, hot lunch at Starved Rock Lodge, and a leisurely 1-hour river cruise on the “Belle of the Rock”, an authentic paddle wheel boat.There is minimum walking on this tour and there are restrooms along the way.

MUSIC OF THE RIVER CRUISE & TOUR

Offered: June-September (Every Tuesdays)
Ticket Price: $42.00 Adult / $37 Children (10 and under)

New for 2013! Meet us in Starved Rock Lodge’s Great Hall for check-in and to receive your box lunch then board a trolley to take you to the “Belle of the Rock”, an authentic paddle wheel boat. Aboard the boat, you will listen to and learn the history of many river songs such as Proud Mary, Alabama’s Tennessee River and Credence Clearwater Revival’s Green River. After your 90-minute lunch cruise you will reboard the trolley for a historic tour with stops at the State Park Visitor Center and the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center.

DINNER & EVENING CRUISE

Offered: June-September (Monday & Thursday)
Ticket Price: $38.50 Adult / $28.50 Children (10 and under)

This casual tour begins as you board a Starved Rock Trolley and travel to the “Belle of the Rock”, an authentic paddle wheel boat, for a leisurely, scenic cruise on the picturesque Illinois River. After the cruise, the trolley will bring you back to the Lodge where you’ll enjoy dinner from our special menu served with dessert.

TROLLEY FALL COLORS TOUR

Offered: October 1-31, 2013 (Monday & Saturday)
Ticket Price: $30 Adult/ $25 Children (10 and under)

Enjoy Starved Rock during the most beautiful time of the year. We’re in the top 10 for great places to see fall colors! Tour includes a relaxing trolley ride, a hot lunch in our rustic dining room and a guided, scenic walk to Council Overhang and Ottawa Canyon. The walk on this tour is less than a mile and will take 45 minutes. This tour is not recommended for individuals with limited mobility. Please note: there are no Fall Colors Trolley Tours on Fall Colors Weekend (Saturday, October 19, 2013).

Tour includes transportation, tour guide, eagle presentation at the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center and lunch (or brunch on Sunday) in our rustic dining room. See this majestic symbol of America in its natural habitat. Dress warmly, bring binoculars and cameras. Eagle sightings are not guaranteed in warmer weather.There is minimal walking and restrooms are available throughout the tour.
