Sled Dog Demos

Free Spirit Siberian Rescue will return for two sled dog demos in 2017. The first is on January 15 (with seminars in the LaSalle Room) and the second one is on February 19 (with seminars in the LaSalle Room at Starved Rock Lodge). Outdoor sled dog demos will take place along the sea wall (just southeast of the Starved Rock Visitor Center).

Guided Winter Hikes

December-March Saturday & Sunday $12/person Join us for a guided hike with the possibility of seeing frozen waterfalls and Bald Eagles in flight! We hike from Starved Rock Lodge to LaSalle Canyon. Art in the Park

Starved Rock Lodge’s Art in the Park Exhibit is the largest collection of chainsaw woodcarvings in the Midwest. The centerpiece of the exhibit is the large Native American Indian head in front of the Lodge – entitled Chief Walks with the Wind. This carving is a tribute to honor Same Sine. Sam (Chief Walks with the Wind) and his family shared Native American stories and cultural programs at the lodge for nearly 50 years. For Read More
