Romance in the Park Bridal Expo

Our “Romance in the Park” Bridal Expo will take place on Sunday, January 3, 2016. Guests are invited to tour the Lodge and see hotel rooms; sample cake & Starved Rock Cuisine, listen to DJ’s, chat with photographers, meet with florists & more! Open to the public. Admission is FREE! Show will be in the Great Hall and Starved Rock Room.

Indoor Pool & more!

Our indoor pool complex is open year ’round! Spend some time swimming a few laps. Or, kick back and relax in our hot tub or saunas. Our gated, children’s pool is perfect for pre-school swimmers. Feel free to bring water wings and pool toys. Towels are provided for our guests in the pool complex.   Pool Hours Sunday-Thursday 9am–10pm Friday-Saturday 9am–11pm

Lodge & Park History

In 1835, Daniel Hitt purchased the land that is today occupied by Starved Rock State Park from the United States Government, as compensation for his tenure in the U.S. Army. He sold the land in 1890 to Ferdinand Walther for $15,000.
