Join us Saturday at 11:00 am as the Starved Rock Foundation presents a Saturday Program Series at the Starved Rock Visitor Center (Kaskaskia Room). The programs are for kids, families and anyone who is a kid at heart! All programs are free to the public although donations are always accepted. Please shop in our 100% volunteer run LeRocher Gift Shop…all profits go to providing programs and equipment for the Park! Watch the award-winning wildlife DVD series based on the books by Carl R. Sams II and Jean Stoick. Program dates: March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & April 6, 13, 20, 27.
Program Overview: “Lost in the Woods” …Shirley, an old box turtle, meets a very lost raccoon named Fernando, and helps him discover the magic of spring. Live video is combined with photography from the award winning children’s book of the same title. All ages will enjoy this tale of trust & patience. (30 minutes) DVDs are available for sale in LeRocher Gift Shop in the Visitor Center.
