Owl Prowl Weekend is set for March 15th, 16th & 17th
On Friday and Saturday, Steve Bailey (an ornithologist) will be at the Lodge for Owl Programs and Owl Walks. Programs begin at 6:00 pm, with an Owl Walk to follow both days, finishing back at the Lodge around 8:30 pm. Price is $10 for adults and $7 for children 10 & under. Everyone should plan on bringing a flashlight. During the program, Steve will have some owl specimens, feathers and pellets. He will be trying to call in Screech, Barred and Great Horned Owls. Maybe, if we are lucky, we will see some nests or uncommon wintering owls. RESERVATIONS are REQUIRED to attend. The Owl Walk for Saturday, March 16 are currently sold out. Friday Owl Walks are going really fast – call now to reserve before they are gone!
On Saturday and Sunday, “Hoo” Haven Wildlife and Education Center from Durand, IL will be here (with their owls) for a presentation. Programs are at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm in the LaSalle Room of the Lodge. Adults: $5 Children 10 & under: $2.50
On Saturday, we will have a history trolley ride combined with a hot lunch in our main dining room. The trolley will also stop at the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center where you will have a special presentation on Owls (no live owls). Tour begins with lunch at 11:00 am with lunch. The trolley will board at noon.. Tour returns to the Lodge at 2:30 pm. Adults: $25 Children 10 & under: $20

The night walks we are only allowing 40 people total as we split off into 2 groups. We are not able to accommodate any more than that.
Also, on Sunday night there will be a Owl Prowl Package available that will include 2 tickets to a HooHaven presentation and a night walk on Sunday night. The night walk on Sunday is only available to the guests staying over with that package.
