March 16: Update from Starved Rock Lodge's CEO

March 16, 2020 |

In light of the recent public health emergency, Governor Pritzker has announced the closing of all State Parks until further notice. Additionally Food and Beverage in-house dining is closed from Monday, March 16th at 8pm through March 30, 2020.

While the trails of Starved Rock State Park are now closed, Starved Rock Lodge will remain open for hotel and cabin reservations. We will have carry out services for Food and Beverage through our Dining Room from 8a to 8p daily. Additionally our Café will serve carry out meals and treats from 6:30a to 5p daily. The Lodge can be accessed from the Route 71 entrance as the Route 178 entrance into the park is now closed.

If you have a room reservation, activity, meeting or wedding planned with us during this time period, a member of our staff will reach out to see if you would like to re-schedule your visit. If you desire to cancel, we will refund your deposit. Typically a refund takes up to 7 business days to process by credit card but with so many businesses facing this difficult situation, we please ask you to wait up to 14 days before calling the Lodge. The Lodge remains a great place for your spring getaway as our pool and spa remain open and the Great Hall is open for small gatherings and game playing.

We thank you for your patience during this difficult situation and we look forward to serving you in the very near future and wish good health to you and your loved ones.

Yours in travel,
Amy and Karl Trimble
