We have recently been notified that Governor Pritzker will be moving our Region (Region 2) to Mitigation One Rules. This means that we will not be able to provide indoor dining or indoor bar service at this time. Veranda outdoor dining will be available until it gets too cold. Carryout will be available for hotel guests and customer pick-up.
Outdoor Dining: Groups over 6 will not be allowed at one table and RESERVATIONS will be necessary for outdoor dining. Guests staying at the Lodge will be given priority for reservations.
Events/Weddings: These new rules and regulations do allow for groups up to 25 people but again we will not be allowed indoor dining. If you have an upcoming wedding, event or meeting, our sales staff will be reaching out to you soon.
Thanksgiving: As we have three weeks until Thanksgiving we will be holding off cancellation of Thanksgiving until Thursday, November 12. Upon cancellation we will reach out to those guests that have dining reservations. We are looking at ways to provide a takeout menu.
At this time we will not be accepting new group reservations for dining through the end of November unless you hear from us sooner.
We are pleased that the Park and all trails are remaining open and we will be able to honor hotel room reservations as well as activities including guided hikes and trolley tours. Our gift shops, Café and pool remain open as well.
Cancellations will be accepted however we are very grateful if you can accept a gift card in lieu of a refund. This greatly helps us continue paying our bills and ensures a speedy recovery once the mitigation rules are removed.
As always we look forward to hosting you at Starved Rock and hope you are all safe and healthy.
