Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center has moved down from Tier 3 to Tier 2 COVID-19 mitigations. The announcement was made Friday, January 15, 2021 by JB Pritzker, Governor of Illinois. This means that the our region in the state has had an average test positivity rate of less than 12% for three consecutive days, three-day average of staffed ICU and hospital bed availability above 20% for three consecutive days and declining 7-day average of hospitalizations for seven of the last 10 days. As a state facility, the Lodge is now allowed to welcome gatherings of 10 people or less. This means that weddings and meetings with ten people (or less) will be allowed. As directed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources in accordance with the LaSalle County Health Department, the Lodge will be allowed to serve food in a private room to those guests. Trolley Tours and Guided Winter Hikes will continue with 10 or fewer guests per event/outing. “We’re happy to go to Tier 2 but eagerly await when we can reopen our dining room and indoor events such as musical tribute shows,” said Lodge CEO Amy Trimble.
