This popular, mid-winter singing competition returns to the Main Dining Room of Starved Rock Lodge with opening night on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Showtime is 7pm; doors open at 5pm for dinner. Vocalists will compete for the title in the 4-week long contest with finals on Wednesday, March 13.
Starved Rock Lodge will again team up with Starved Rock Media (where all the promotions will air on WAJK, WLPO and 96.5 The WOLF). “Jaimie London, morning co-host on the WOLF will be the 2024 Emcee,” said John Spencer, President/owner of Starved Rock Media, “Jaimie is an award-winning talent with energy to spare, so we are excited to have her welcoming all the contestants to the stage.”
A panel of judges, along with audience votes, determine who advances through each week of the contest. The winner will take home a trophy and a $500 grand prize. The 2nd place award is $250 and $100 for 3rd place. The weekly “Fan Favorite” will take home $100 (sponsored by State Farm Agent Jessica Strauch).
Come early so you can get a good seat. Doors open at 5pm each week. In addition to the full menu with appetizers, entrees and desserts, a wide variety of Signature and seasonal cocktails, wine, craft and draft beer will be available. Contestant check-in begins at 6:30 p.m. with Rock Star competition starting at 7:00 p.m. Contest rules, prizes and event details are subject to change.
