We have officially been moved to Tier 1 Mitigations. The Main Dining Room and Back Door Lounge will be open for dine in service at 25% capacity. Reservations are required. Table seating is limited for four guests or less. The Cafe will also be open and have seating at 25% capacity. Weddings and meetings are allowed for up to 25 guests or 25% or room capacity (whichever is less). Explore the natural landscape & beauty of mother nature

Tucked away in North Central Illinois is beautiful Starved Rock State Park and neighboring Matthiessen State Park and Buffalo Rock State Park. Hike to seasonal waterfalls and sandstone canyons or explore the Illinois River by boat. Discover a remote haven filled with tranquility, natural beauty and endless outdoor adventure. Please maintain social distancing of 6-feet when you meet someone on the trail who is not in your small group.

  • Guided Hikes

    Take a Guided Hike and see the beauty of Starved Rock State Park this winter. You’ll also get a Starved Rock drawstring backpack, bottled water and a voucher for hot cocoa or coffee from the Cafe. Departs at 10am from the Great Hall. Hikers should wear a mask and practice social distancing when within 6′ of other hikers.
