Make your Mark in Time
Sat. August 6, 2022 @ 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm
Join us for a tour to the LaSalle County Historical Society Museum Complex in Utica, located along the Illinois & Michigan Canal. Get a glimpse into the Starved Rock area’s past in the 1892 Kidd Blacksmith shop. You will get to witness a live demonstration of a blacksmith in action. Across the street in the 1865 Aitken one-room schoolhouse, you will be taken back in time to the way school lessons used to be. You will also get to tour the museum, where there are many interesting displays including a carriage that Abe Lincoln once rode in. After the tour, you will continue on to Bruce and Ollie’s for a scoop of ice cream before the trolley picks you up and brings you back to the Lodge!
