August 26th Face Mask Policy

Effective today (Wednesday, August 26), all dining patrons are now required to wear masks when interacting with bar and restaurant staff. This includes both indoors and outdoors. At Starved Rock Lodge, we ask that you please put your mask on when a staff member approaches you whether in the Main Dining Room, Back Door Lounge, Veranda or in the Cafe. Thank you for cooperating and helping keep our customers and staff safe.

August 26th Trail Update: Some trails at Starved Rock are now open! Matthiessen State Park remains closed for further storm cleanup. The following places are now open: Starved Rock, Overlooks: Lover’s Leap, Eagle Cliff, Beehive, Sandstone Point, Canyons: French, Pontiac, Wildcat, Basswood, Lonetree, Aurora, Sac, Kickapoo, St. Louis, Illinois, Ottawa, Kaskaskia & Council Overhang. See the beautiful American Bald Eagle in its natural habitat

Starved Rock is just as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer. Join us in the winter for one of our Eagle Trolley Tours. These tours include a stop at the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center for eagle viewing on their observation deck and an educational presentation on eagles. Lunch in the restaurant is included.
