Take a Hike & a Lunch

Discover Starved Rock’s canyons, bluffs and seasonal waterfalls on this 3-mile (round trip) guided hike. Listen as the guide tells stories of how Starved Rock got its name along with other legends of the area. Break for lunch at the halfway point. Lunch includes your choice of turkey, ham or veggie wrap, snacks and bottled water. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Hike will vary upon group skill and trail conditions. *Boxed lunch and souvenir drawstring backpack included.

Polar Express Experience

Put on your PJs and join us on an exciting Polar Express adventure! You will board the trolley at the Lodge and we will head to Rotary Park for a trip through the Celebration of Lights. We will read the Polar Express book on the way! After going through the lights, we will head back to the Lodge for a meet and greet with Santa! Tell him your Christmas wishes and get a photo. Event Series Guided Winter Hike

Join us for a guided hike with the possibility of frozen waterfalls & Eagles. Participants meet in the hotel lobby of the Lodge to pick up a snack and a “Starved Rock” backpack. The tour concludes at the Lodge about 1:00 pm. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear proper footwear. In the event of ice and snow, we advise Yaktrax for extra traction. Hike will be about 3 miles round trip. Remember to bring your binoculars and cameras....
