Historic Trolley Tour – 12pm
Board a trolley outside of the Great Hall of the Lodge. Learn about the rich history and legends of Starved Rock State Park and Lodge. Travel to the Lock and Dam, through historic downtown Utica and the Starved Rock Visitor Center.

Meet us on Thursdays at 9am in the Lodge lobby for pre-planned group hikes. These hikes take a few hours and usually end around noon. The hiking schedule changes each week and repeats itself each quarter so you get to see each part of the park in every season of the year! Hike 12 times and earn a free lunch in the Main Dining Room! Discover Starved Rock’s canyons, bluffs and seasonal waterfalls on this guided hike. Listen as the guide tells stories of how Starved Rock got its name along with other legends of the area. Break for lunch at the halfway point. Lunch includes your choice of turkey, ham or veggie wrap, bag of chips, granola bar, piece of fruit and bottled water.

Earth Day Hike 2020
We will be doing an Earth Day Wildflower Walk and Garbage Pickup - Fill a Bag, Get a Bag Come see what new Wildlflowers have popped up at Starved Rock State Park! Have you ever wanted to hike all the canyons in the park? Well now you can do it in one day. Hikes leave the Lodge at 8:30am and expected time for lunch is 1pm. Return to the Lodge at 4pm. Board a trolley with a pair of guides and be taken to the east end of the park where you will begin your trek. Included is trolley transportation, guides, boxed lunch (1/2 way) and a specially designed shirt.
