Health & Safety Update from Starved Rock Lodge (January 10, 2022)
Here’s an update on what life is like these days at Starved Rock Lodge. We know, that traveling these days requires extra thought. So, we’ve put some safety measures in place for your protection. We want you to know what to expect when you get here. Because we are a state facility, masks are required inside the Lodge (in all public spaces such as the Lobby, hallways, dining room, etc.).
We take your health and safety seriously. That’s why we’re closely following evolving state and federal guidelines.
We’ve installed safety shields at our front desk, host stand and at all retail outlets. You can learn more about this and all of our safety measures by clicking here: (https://www.starvedrocklodge.com/activities/activities/)
We are regularly and carefully cleaning all public areas as well as our guest rooms, pool complex, restaurants and bar. We’ve reset our dining room and reduced seating capacity. We’ve done the same thing in our Back Door Lounge and Cafe–allowing our guests to spread out safely, relax and enjoy this historic getaway nestled in the middle of Starved Rock State Park.
Our guided hikes and boat tours may have reduced capacity, so please book online in advance of your arrival. A trolley ride is included with every tour. Call our Activities Department at (815) 220-7386 or book online at www.starvedrocklodge.com. Please wear a mask when you board our trolley on the way to your destination.
One thing that hasn’t changed here is our Midwestern hospitality! We’ll be smiling even if you can’t see it. For over 80 years, we’ve had a genuine interest in making sure that you have a great experience at Starved Rock Lodge…where the past is always present.
