August 26th Face Mask Policy

Effective today (Wednesday, August 26), all dining patrons are now required to wear masks when interacting with bar and restaurant staff. This includes both indoors and outdoors. At Starved Rock Lodge, we ask that you please put your mask on when a staff member approaches you whether in the Main Dining Room, Back Door Lounge, Veranda or in the Cafe. Thank you for cooperating and helping keep our customers and staff safe.

August 26th Trail Update: Some trails at Starved Rock are now open! Matthiessen State Park remains closed for further storm cleanup. The following places are now open: Starved Rock, Overlooks: Lover’s Leap, Eagle Cliff, Beehive, Sandstone Point, Canyons: French, Pontiac, Wildcat, Basswood, Lonetree, Aurora, Sac, Kickapoo, St. Louis, Illinois, Ottawa, Kaskaskia & Council Overhang. Remote Learning Field Trip

Starved Rock Lodge has created 20 fun things to do on a “Remote Learning Field Trip” to Starved Rock State Park & Lodge. A free study guide is included when you book the overnight package. Your student will get a Certificate of Achievement and take home a backpack of great memories. Learn about Native American History, geology, astronomy and nature then have fun at “Pool School.” This package will include your room for the night and 2 boxed lunches with your choice of ham, turkey or pb&j sandwich.
