Starved Rock Lodge Voted Best Business in Five Categories

(Oglesby, IL) – Winners have been announced in the 2019 Best of North Central Illinois Contest and Starved Rock Lodge took top honors in five categories. The Lodge was named Best Hotel, Best Fine Dining, Best Prime Rib, Best Live Music Venue, and Best Place to Work. In addition, Starved Rock State Park was named Best Tourist Attraction.

Lodge President and CEO Amy Trimble, along with her husband, Karl, Lodge Vice President said, “The Starved Rock staff, Karl and I are very thrilled to have won these awards. We have all worked very hard in the last few years to create a better experience for guests whether they are dining, hiking, sleeping or attending one of our many events. Karl and I are especially proud of the “Best Place to Work Award”. We have a very hands on approach to the way we do business and we try hard to treat our staff like family.  We appreciate all that they do for Starved Rock Lodge and this award means the world to us.”

The contest was launched by WALLS 102, Q Hit Music 97.7/103.3, Classic Hits 106, 100.9 FM Rocks WBZG, Classic Country WGLC and 1250 AM WSPL, which are owned by Studstill Media.

Best of North Central Illinois was created to recognize the best businesses and organizations in the area. Nominated and voted on by the people of North Central Illinois, these organizations have earned the right to be called “Best Of.” According to Studstill Media, “The nominees and winners are the businesses you would recommend to friends and family members when they ask where they should go. These are the businesses that make us proud to call this North Central Illinois.”

Winners will continue to be listed on the contest website: for one year. The nomination period ran from January 14, 20196 through February 8, 2019. Online voting took place from February 18, 2019 through March 15, 2019. Winners were announced March 20, 2019.
